Yesterday I had the pleasure of going to Bucks New University to record a couple of songs from my new EP, for a radio interview I have on Saturday with BBC Introducing at Three Counties Radio. We were working with a group of students in their third year of university. I have never worked with such a large crew before and it was a really valuable experience for me. It was also a bit overwhelming to see so many cameras in one room!
It was really interesting to see the amount of work and care that goes into video making such as these, and all of the film and audio crew were really friendly. This was one of the hardest shoots I’ve ever done; we started filming the most physically and vocally demanding song from the EP (The Fall) first – but I am extremely happy with final mixes, so I’m glad that our hard work has paid off. I have to keep reminding myself that my voice will keep growing and these shoots will become easier for me with age. Having said that, there is nothing I would rather be doing on a Wednesday than singing all day.
Thank you to all the crew involved in the shoot, and I hope your third year goes well! If you want to hear the result of this shoot I will be on BBC Introducing BHB on Saturday 5th December at 7pm, talking about Optimist EP and other musical stuff.
